One of the simplest—but most important—safety rules in any warehouse is to keep your aisles and walkways completely clear.

It might sound obvious, but cluttered floors, stray pallets, packaging, or tools can quickly turn into serious hazards for both pedestrians and forklift operators. A blocked aisle reduces visibility, increases the risk of collisions, and can slow down emergency response if something goes wrong.

Make it a habit to:

• Put stock and equipment back in its designated place immediately
• Avoid leaving pallets or materials in walkways “just for a minute”
• Carry out quick end-of-shift tidy-ups
• Report and remove any obstructions straight away
